It is a very beautiful cenote. You have to go down 72 steps and reach a beautiful cave. The best thing is that you will be almost alone unlike others.Full review by MARIFLOR C

No you do not have to be apart of a tour group. We drove to the cenotes. You pay a small fee at each one cash only. You have a chance to also rent a life vest of you want. I was glad we …

Q:
Hi, is there somewhere to store your bags with clothes etc in or do you take down with you and leave on the wooden platform?
A:
There is no storage but usually you can take it with you as less crowds or keep with your driver like my group did.

hello, As seniors with arthritis (hip and knees), how easy or difficult is it to get in and out of the water? Are there hand railings along the stairway all he way to the water? If we choose not to swim, are there places to sit and enjoy the cenote and observe ? We are leaving in 3 days to Cancun and plan to stop here after Coba Ruins. We are very excited ! Thank you in advance for taking the time to answer. It will be greatly appreciated.

This is a very relaxed and quiet cenote. I don't think you will have much trouble getting in and out. There is a spiral staircase going down I can't remember if it has a handrail but there is a center post all the way down you can use to keep your balance. At the bottom is a nice large deck with steps that ease into the water. The deck is large and if I remember right there are benches built into it. My wife doesn't swim all the best so she brought an inner tube which she really enjoyed so she could explore the whole cenote with out worrying about saving enough energy to swim back to the deck. I have been to several cenotes and this is one of our favorite. I think you will really enjoy it. You can take your time and not worry about tour guides trying to shuffle large groups in and out the whole time you are there.

Hi Stantheman56 Yes absolutely! We found a taxi driver (or I should say he found us) and he charged us $25 per person. We were 3, he picked us up on the main Avenida near bus station near our vacation rental, then drove us to COBA about 1.5 hours, he spoke a little English, he waited for us about 2.5 hours at COBA, then drove us to Multum Ha, waited for us 1 hour, then we stopped for lunch and he waited for us about an hour, and then returned us to Avenida. We left about 900am and returned about 230-300pm as I remember. His name was Manny....I had his card...but I cannot locate it! Sorry. If you are in and out of taxis ask one, or maybe ask a waiter in a restaurant you feel comfortable with. We met one waiter who sold newspapers, drove a taxi and waited tables, they all have friends and now you have a baseline for what it could cost. He car was clean and in excellent repair, and I always felt very safe in Tulum. And the people we meet were all exceedingly nice and sweet. Enjoy your vacation!
