After nearly nine months of bargaining, the Chicago Teachers Union and Chicago Public Schools have yet to settle a new, four-year contract. They presented briefs to a third-party law arbitrator

The walk-ins also come in the middle of contract negotiations between CTU and Chicago Public Schools leadership.

The Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) held walk-ins at schools across the city on Tuesday morning to highlight the need for protection from the White House

Holding signs out in the cold outside Peirce Elementary on the North Side, parents and Chicago Teachers Union members rallied against budget cuts and deportation efforts. Walk-ins were conducted at several CPS schools.
