The presence of “Dr. Phil” at Chicago federal immigration raids raises questions about the propriety of the operation and highlights a presidency that favors reality TV.

Ill., on Tuesday slammed the decision to grant TV host Dr. Phil McGraw, a psychologist, access to the raids Sunday in Chicago, which McGraw streamed on his channel.

Dr. Phil belittled actress Selena Gomez after she wept on video about President Donald Trump’s immigration round-ups—in which the TV host was embedded. Phil McGraw, also known as “Dr. Phil,” spoke to the Daily Mail after he was granted access to the ICE operation that has detained over 100 people since this past weekend.
