An Indianapolis police officer shot and critically injured a man Wednesday. The suspect had allegedly stabbed two victims with a machete before police arrived on scene. IMPD Southeast District officers were called just before 4 p.

At this time, police think the man knew his victims prior to the attack, and that he had been waiting for them to clock out of work.

IMPD officers are investigating an officer involved shooting that happened on the east side Wednesday afternoon. The shooting happened in the 1400 block of Brookville Way which isn’t far from the intersection of South Hunter and Brookville Roads.
