The Los Angeles Lakers postponed their game against the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday as wildfires are continuing to wreak havoc on the area. More than 5,300 structures have now been claimed by the flames,

Before the Lakers took on the Mavericks in Dallas, Redick acknowledged the gravity of the situation affecting his family and neighbors.

Wildfires have whipped through parts of Southern California in recent hours, burning homes and forcing widespread evacuation orders across the region. The affected area included an LA hillside known as Pacific Palisades, where the family of Lakers head coach JJ Redick lives.
