Days after the news came that comedian Sunil Pal was allegedly kidnapped after being invited for an event in Haridwar, now Welcome (2007) and Stree 2 (2024) actor Mushtaq Khan has claimed that he was also abducted after he went to attend an event in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut.

Bijnor: Actor Mushtaq Khan, best known for his roles in films like “Welcome” and “Stree 2,” was allegedly kidnapped on the pretext of being invited to an event in Meerut, police said on Wednesday. The actor managed to escape after being held captive for a day.

Two people have been detained and are being questioned by Meerut police in connection with the alleged kidnapping and extortion of comedian Sunil Pal.

Khan’s event manager Shivam Yadav filed a complaint about the incident at the Bijnor Kotwali police station on Tuesday, Bijnor superintendent of police Abhishek Kumar Jha said

The entertainment industry was shaken when popular comedian Sunil Pal claimed he was kidnapped. Yet, another similar incident related to Gadar 2 actor Mushtaq Khan has come to light. According to reports,

Police have taken into custody ten suspects, including the guard and the manager of the Bijnor guest house where Sunil Pal and Mushtaq Khan were allegedly kept after being kidnapped.

According to the complaint, the kidnappers held Khan captive in the Chahsheeri locality of Bijnor and during this time Rs 2 lakh were transferred from his mobile

Mushtaq Khan's complaint about the kidnapping nightmare in Meerut comes after popular comedian Sunil Pal filed a similar complaint and alleged that he was abducted en route to Uttarakhand for a show.

According to Mushtaq Khan's business partner, the kidnappers tortured the actor for 12 hours and demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore
