Toilet paper is at the top of the shopping list with 77% saying they are stocking up on it, according to a recent survey from CreditCards.com.

Some 34% of survey respondents said they are stockpiling because they’re “fearful or uncertain about the future.”

One promise that Trump emphasized on the campaign trail was that he wanted to lower everyday costs for Americans. During his first major interview since Trump won the election, he was unwilling to speculate whether the costs behind implementing tariffs would be passed on to the American consumer.
