At least 16 Pakistanis died and 10 others are unaccounted for after a boat carrying dozens of Europe-bound migrants sank at the weekend off the coast of Libya, officials said Tuesday.

A vessel carrying around 65 passengers capsized near Libya’s Marsa Dela port. Pakistan’s embassy in Tripoli is seeking details of possible Pakistani affectees and assisting local authorities. The Foreign Office has activated its Crisis Management Unit to monitor the situation.
