BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Baton Rouge police arrested a 22-year-old man for his involvement in a deadly shooting on the day before Thanksgiving. The grandmother of the 8-year-old killed says she knows her grandson’s accused killer.

The mother of a boy who died from injuries months after shooting himself was booked on a charge of negligent homicide in early December.

About 2 p.m., a vehicle occupied by a mother and her five children was riddled with gunfire from a passing vehicle in the 1000 block of Swan Avenue, police said.
