Mexico's president sarcastically said that the U.S. should be called "Mexican America" after Trump's vow to rename the Gulf of Mexico the "Gulf of America."

As is often the case with Trump, it’s unclear whether his remarks are to be taken at face value or if he's simply trying to stir the pot.

For decades, history books and maps have labeled the big body of water that sits off the coast of the southern United States and Mexico as the Gulf of Mexico.

U.S. Rep. Dan Crenshaw joked Thursday on X that several names in the Gulf could change to fit the cult-favorite Texas convenience store.
