Right on schedule, heavy lake effect snow and accompanying blowing snow and blinding conditions arrived across areas mainly south of Buffalo overnight and early Thursday

We’re keeping a close eye on conditions that will make way for another battle with lake effect snow beginning later in the day Wednesday and extend through the end of the week.

Marton said while only a few inches are expected to fall in South Buffalo, city crews are prepared for significantly more if the band shifts further north.
