As popular as The Last of Us has become over the last decade, it's no secret that many Naughty Dog fans were disgruntled with the lack of new projects from the studio. That’s all changed though, as they revealed their new game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, which looks like a return to the studio's roots… sort of.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is the next game from Naughty Dog, the studio behind The Last of Us. It's taking inspiration from Guardians of the Galaxy, but with your favorite brands thrown in for good measure.

The Heretic Prophet. Developed by Naughty Dog, Intergalactic is a futuristic space opera with the kind of retropunk vibes that remind me of Cowboy Bebop. That comparison is apt as Intergalactic game director and Naughty Dog studio head Neil Druckmann mentioned on the game’s website that it stars a space bounty hunter.
