A brief SWAT incident was initiated Wednesday night after a 17-year-old boy attempted to rob a 60-year-old man at gunpoint in Armour Square on the city’s South Side, according to police. Police say the 60-year-old man told responding officers he was walking on the sidewalk in the 200 block of West Pershing Road

According to Chicago Police, the man was walking near Pershing and Wentworth, just before 8:20 p.m., when the teen approached him and tried to take his belongings, leading to a struggle.
