The Big Ten released their 2025 football schedule on Wednesday, and one of the most notable announcements was that Minnesota's Week 13 game against Northwestern will be played at Wrigley Field on Nov.

The U’s final regular-season road game will be against Northwestern at Wrigley Field in Chicago on Nov. 22. The Wildcats are playing a few games each season at the Chicago Cubs’ baseball stadium while a new Ryan Field is being built on campus in Evanston.

The Big Ten announced Minnesota’s 2025 football schedule today, along with the other 17 schools in the conference. Minnesota will open the season at home on Thursday, on August 28 against Buffalo. The Gophers will then host Northwestern State on September 6 before traveling to California for a road game on September 13.

No. 23 Illinois can match its highest win total in 17 years and move within one of the school record if it beats struggling Northwestern at Wrigley Field to close out the regular season.
