After a brief break on Sunday afternoon, another prolonged round of gusty Santa Ana winds is expected to develop, forecasters say.

Southern California will continue to face "dangerous fire weather conditions" including strong Santa Ana winds and extremely low humidity through later this week, forecasters said Tuesday.

The Santa Anas are expected to be most powerful Monday night into Tuesday. Fire services across the region say they are ready.

Despite red flag warnings ending Friday, strong Santa Ana winds are expected to return Saturday night in the Santa Clarita Valley. By the end of next week, a chance of much-needed rain is expected.

Red flag fire warnings remain in place for Los Angeles County and much of Southern California. Inmates at the Pitchess Detention Center, in Castaic south of the fire, are being moved out of the jail in a partial evacuation, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed to ABC News.
