Utah Hockey Club did not have much left come the third period. The team was tied 1-1 with the Ottawa Senators at the beginning of the final 20 minutes, but allowed two goals against and dropped its second consecutive game Sunday at Canadian Tire Centre.
Utah's lone goal came on a flukey bounce in the second period. Clayton Keller sent a pass into the slot that was intended for Logan Cooley, but it hit off Ottawa's Ridly Greig and into the back of the net. It was Keller's 18th goal of the season and extended his point streak to seven games.
The Utah Hockey Club beat the Winnipeg Jets 5-2 at home on Monday. On Friday, the Jets returned the favor with a 5-2 win over Utah HC in their own building. In both cases, the games were much closer than the score suggested.
Dylan Guenther‘s 16 goals are tied for the team’s best with Clayton Keller. The difference? Keller has five more games under his belt this season than Guenther.

The NHL announced Monday morning that it has named Utah Hockey Club forward Barrett Hayton the third star of the week from Jan. 20-26. In four games during that span, Hayton tallied four goals — including two game-winners — and six points.

Being the fifth-overall pick in the 2018 draft, Hayton has always had big expectations on his shoulders.
