Two avalanches, one fatal, were reported Saturday afternoon in Summit County’s Dutch Draw area and Big Cottonwood Canyon.

According to officials with the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office, the avalanche occurred around 12:45 p.m. on Feb. 8.
