Payments have finally started going out in the $100 million class action lawsuit Verizon agreed to settle, but the deposits are falling short of people’s expectations. The lawsuit, filed in 2023, alleged Verizon customers were hit with an administrative charge as part of a “deceptive scheme.

Verizon customers reported receiving settlement payments well below the minimum of $15, as stipulated in agreement.

Some Verizon customers were hoping to get as much as $100 as part of a 2024 $100 million class-action settlement. But many payments were nowhere near that total.

Remember that Verizon settlement from last year? Payments are now starting, but the amount you get could be disappointing.
