After Chinmoy Krishna Das, another Hindu priest and Iskcon member, Shyam Das Prabhu, was arrested in Bangladesh's Chattogram on Saturday, said Radharamn Das, vice-president and spokesperson of Iskon Kolkata.

Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, also known as Krishna Das Prabhu, is an ISKCON monk and prominent Hindu leader who was arrested in Bangladesh for his alleged involvement in protests against violence towards Hindus.

In a call to action, RSS has called upon the Bangladeshi authorities to take decisive steps in curbing violence against minorities and ensuring justice for the victims and immediate release of those unjustly imprisoned,

The Bangladesh government has frozen bank accounts of 17 individuals linked to ISKCON amid tensions surrounding the arrest of Hindu priest Chinmoy Krishna Das, whose account will also be affected.

ISKCON is yet to issue statement. Hindu monk Chinmoy Krishna Das’s arrest in sedition case earlier this month led to widespread protests in Bangladesh.
