Protests against Hindu monk Chinmoy Krishna Das’s arrest and the atrocities on religious minorities in Bangladesh continued on Wednesday in Tripura, where an angry mob recently vandalised the premises of the neighbouring country’s Assistant High Commission.

Those arrested have been charged with assaulting public servants on duty, unlawful assembly, rioting and criminal trespassing.

Bangladesh today summoned India's envoy to Dhaka, hours after closing its visa and consular office in Tripura after a security incident yesterday.
