Southern California is in desperate need of rain, but it could come far too fast this week, especially in areas recently burned by wildfires.

An atmospheric river is expected to hit California later this week, bringing heavy rain and wind to much of the state.

There are flooding concerns near San Francisco and mudslides are being reported in Santa Cruz, California. CBS News Los Angeles' Rick Montanez reports, and meteorologist Jessica Burch has more on the rainy weather forecast.
