The national capital woke up to an improved air quality on Monday as the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 273 in the 'poor' category as of 8 am significantly better than yesterday's AQI at 311.

Delhi's air quality remains in the very poor category with an AQI of 316. Several areas reported AQI above 300, prompting concerns from residents about health impacts and the need for government action to address pollution.

Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) showed improvement but stayed in the "poor" range, as the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) reported a lower AQI of 273 at 8 am on Monday.

The 24-hour average AQI at 4 pm was slightly lower than Sunday's 285. Since October 30, air quality had been in the ‘very poor’ and ‘severe’ categories.
