Crystal Palace has beaten League 2 side Doncaster Rovers 2-0 in the FA Cup to set up a fifth-round tie at home to Millwall.

Crystal Palace took their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup after beating fourth tier Doncaster Rovers 2-0 on Monday to escape the fate of London-based Premier League rivals.

There was to be no FA Cup fifth-round tie for Doncaster Rovers, or the cash bonus that comes with it, but they did get a very strong reminder that they have a group of players better than League Two.

Doncaster are currently third in League Two and had won four games in a row before they were thrashed 5-2 by Chesterfield last Thursday. In Grant McCann they have a manager with good experience of managing sides against Premier League opposition in cups.
