Officials with the Green Bay Packers and Festival Foods are preparing for the annual Festival of Lights at Lambeau Field on Saturday, kicking off the festivities by harvesting a tree that stands over 50 feet tall.

Basten family planted the six-foot spruce 20 years ago. Now it will grace the entrance to Lambeau Field for the holiday season.

Neil and Julie Basten donated their 20-year-old spruce tree to be the centerpiece of the Green Bay Packers' Festival of Lights celebration.

The Green Bay Packers have their tree for this year’s Festival of Lights, harvesting it from the yard of a De Pere home. Neil and Julie Basten say they purchased the tree 20 years ago when it was just six feet tall.
