A 25-year-old Air India pilot allegedly died by suicide in her rented flat in Mumbai, following which her boyfriend has was arrested on Tuesday on charges of abetment to suicide.

A 25-year-old Air India pilot allegedly died by suicide in her flat in Mumbai, police have said, adding that her boyfriend has been arrested on charges of abetment.

Mumbai: A 25-year-old Air India pilot, Srishti Tuli, allegedly died by suicide in Andheri East on November 25. The Powai police arrested her 27-year-old boyfriend, Aditya Pandit, on charges of abetment of suicide.

The pilot was found hanging in her flat. The police did not find any suicide note near her body or in her flat.

Initial investigations revealed that the pilot Sristhi Tuli was being abused by Aditya Pandit and was struggling with mental health issues.

Shrishti Tuli was found dead in her apartment in Andheri (East) on Monday and the police has said that the initial inquiry points at her boyfriend’s harassment.

Initial inquiries indicate Srishti Tuli was disturbed due to her boyfriend’s harassment. He often abused her in public and even stopped her from eating non-vegetarian food, it has been alleged.
