After two "unproductive" business days of the Winter Session, the Parliament is set to resume on Thursday. Parliament's Winter Session began on Monday. It had a one-day break to observe Constitution Day at a joint sitting of both Houses on November 26.

Parliament Winter Session Update: The Railways (Amendment) Bill, 2024 Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will move The Railways (Amendment) Bill, 2024 that seeks to further amend the Railway Act, 1989 to enhance the powers of the Railways Board and improve operational efficiency.

The government has listed 16 bills, including the Waqf Amendment Bill, for consideration in the session. Today was the second day of the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament.

In the Rajya Sabha, proceedings were stalled as Opposition MPs insisted on holding a discussion on the Adani issue.

The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned till 11 am on Thursday as protesting Opposition MPs remained defiant with their demands to have discussions on a host of issues, including the US's indictment of businessman Gautam Adani for alleged bribery charges to award solar power contracts.

The Congress is set to launch protests, both inside and outside Parliament led by Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, against inadequate assistance of the Centre for the survivors of Wayanad landslide,
