Chandigarh: Punjab police on Saturday claimed to have nabbed two persons from Amritsar and recovered eight sophisticated pistols from them. Director General of Police (DGP), Punjab, Gaurav Yadav said that those arrested have been identified as Jagjit Singh alias Nikku and Gurwinder Singh alias Gandhi,

Amritsar: Two person carrying eight sophisticated pistols smuggled from Pakistan were arrested in Punjab’s Amritsar on Saturday, an official statement said. The accused have been identified as Jagjit Singh alias Nikku and Gurwinder Singh alias Gandhi,

“The Punjab Police have arrested two people after eight sophisticated pistols smuggled into the country from Pakistan were found in their possession,” a top officer said on Saturday (November 30, 2024.) “They were held from Nurpur Padhri in Amritsar,” Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said.

Eight sophisticated weapons, comprising four Glock pistols (made in Austria), two Turkiye 9mm pistols and two X-Shot Zigana pistols, along with 10 rounds were recovered.
