A water main break has sent water shooting out of the street in Washington County. The break in the 2100 block of North Main Street in Chartiers Township happened around 5 a.m. It’s unknown right now how long repairs will take and if any homes or businesses have been impacted. One lane of the road is currently closed.

According to the City of Solon, Aurora Road (Route 43) is closed between Richmond Road and Hawthorne Parkway due to a large water main break. Officials announced the closure on Wednesday morning and stated there is no estimated time for the road to reopen.

A temporary road closure will occur to assist Lynchburg Water Resources crews while they work on a water main break in the 3800 block of Boonsboro Road. The road will be temporarily closed between Link Road and Somerset Drive and a detour will be put in place for motorists.
