What's up with Damien Darkblood? : r/Invincible - Reddit
Mar 6, 2022 · In the comics, Damien Darkblood's character is basically just a classic pulp detective – except he hasn't made any attempt whatsoever to keep up with modern advancements. He's mainly meant to be a joke and I'm pretty sure his very last appearance is some random secretary telling him that everyone knows Omniman killed the GotG, basically ...

Should Damien Darkblood return? : r/Invincible - Reddit
I think absolutely yes. Even though he had maybe 10 minutes of screen time in the first season, probably less, he managed to captivate the audience. Personally, I watched every Damien scene with great pleasure. Since the murder in the first season was solved, one might think that there would be no need for Damien, but he is a hell demon.

Apr 7, 2021 · I kind of inferred that while Darkblood is tough, he can't really grapple with Omni Man. He could probably get a hit or two in, but he definitely isn't remotely close to his power level. But being a demon, I imagine he would be truly immortal, so while Omni Man could "kill him" he'd come back eventually without the use of magic.

Aug 2, 2023 · All the Damien Darkblood stuff in season 1 I thought was corny but also kind of delightful. I wouldn't mind seeing that character pop up again and bring his weird demonic noir detective shit and have it rub against the normie characters.

Feb 22, 2021 · In the comics Damien is only meant to be a gag character with a random side story that ultimately turns out to be a long winded joke. I'm really glad they did a lot more with him in the animated adaptation, being a badass detective whom even the likes of Omni Man finds threatening, and not to mention his investigation actually amounts to something.

How is Cecil able to apprehend Damian Darkblood? : r/Invincible
So I just watched the show for the first time and the one thing I don't understand is how Cecil is able to "capture" Damien Darkblood. The way they depict Darkblood before that is he's like... a ghost, spirit, etc. Not as much a physical being. Like... he just appears places and then disappears. At least that was the impression I got.
