Richard Barnes (born July 17, 1954) is an American college basketball coach who is currently the head coach at the University of Tennessee.

Tennessee’s fortunes on the hardwood have never looked brighter, as Rick Barnes, the most decorated and accomplished head coach in school history, has led the Volunteers to new heights in his nine seasons on Rocky Top. The 2024-25 campaign is his 10th at Tennessee and his 38th as a head coach.
